Birthday in a Bag

Wednesday, February 22, 2012

Filling gift bags with cake mix, icing and candles, Girl Scouts of northern Putnam County recently created 50 "Birthday in a bag" set-ups donated to the Putnam County Emergency Food Pantry so families can help celebrate a birthday, special occasion or event. The bags were made in honor of Girl Scouts of America founder Juliette Gordon Low and the 100th birthday of Girl Scouts occurring next month. Delivering the bags to Food Pantry Director Judy Miller (kneeling left) are Scouts and leaders (standing, from left) Nickie Taylor, Madison O'Neal, Kylee McCollough, Emma Neal, Alisha McCollough, Kristina Taylor and Katrina Asher, along with (kneeling, from right) Laura, Myra and Jasmine Weddle.
