Cloverdale Emerald Command winter 2012

Cloverdale High School performers include Angela Manning, Miranda Tate, Hannah Ramey, Jacob Williams, Taulbee Jackson, Ethan Williamson, Zach Hall, Pretty Barabongafue, Mitchell Stacey, Ethan Maners, Bailey Stevens, Bridget Jackson, Rae McFadden, Kyle Manion and Hannah Mann.

The Instrumental Music department at the Cloverdale School Corporation has several performance opportunities for talented hardworking students involved with the program.

Active performaces ensembles for February and March include the Cloverdale Winter Guard, students involved with the ISSMA Solo and Ensemble Contest, Pep Band, Jazz Band, Cloverdale Independent Winter Drumline and Middle School ISSMA Organizational contest.

The first performance opportunity is the Indiana State School Music Association Solo and Ensemble Contest held at Terre Haute North High School on Saturday, Jan 29. Cloverdale Middle School and High School sent over 60 participants in individual or group events. There were 34 Gold medals and 21 Silver medals were earned.

Qualifying for the State ISSMA Contest are Taulbee Jackson -- Tenor Sax Solo; Jacob Williams -- Alto Sax Solo; Robert Henline -- Bari Sax Solo; Hannah Ramey -- Clarinet Solo; Miranda Tate, Angela Manning, Zach Hall -- Percussion Trio; Taulbee, Jacob and Kyle Mannion -- Sax Trio; and Taulbee, Jacob, Kyle, Robert, Rae McFadden and Hannah Mann -- Saxophone Sextet. Middle School student musicians included Cassie McMullin, Abbie Speas, Angela Pieper; Hanna Monnett, Chloe Mannan, Stevens, Fulkerson, Samantha Woods, Noah Cox, Anna Cole, Sarah Neidlinger, Sadie McKinney, Tanner White, Nick Zimmerman, Brandon Shoopmon, Evan Monnett and Matt McFadden.

High School students included Angela Manning, Miranda Tate, Hannah Ramey, Jacob Williams, Taulbee Jackson, Ethan Williamson, Zach Hall, Pretty Barabongafue, Mitchell Stacey, Ethan Maners, Bailey Stevens, Bridget Jackson, Rae McFadden, Kyle Manion and Hannah Mann.

The Cloverdale Pep Band had their final performance of the season on Friday, Feb 17. Student members of the Pep Band are Dustin Boothby, Eddie Brown, Brady Bundy, Pretty Buranabunvong, Tyler Carrell, Zach Cleverly, Shawn Collett, Jordan Garrett, Zach Hall, Robert Henline, Joe Hyland, Bridget Jackson, Taulbee Jackson, Mariah Jacobson, Brad Johnson, Joe, Littiken, Ethan Maners, Kyle Manion, Angelica Manning, Hannah Mann, Rae MdFadden, Kiersten Mundy, Charlotte Muns, Leif Parker, Hannah Ramey, Alexis Rayl, Austin Rayl, Phoenix Sims, Anna Spencer, Robert St John, Mitchell Stacy, Bailee Stevens, Miranda Tate, Ben Tingle, Ethan Williamson, Jacob Williams and Krystyna Woods.

The Jazz Combo will be performing at upcoming School concerts and competing at the ISSMA Jazz Festival on March 2 at Terre Haute South. Members include Robert Henline, Taulbee Jackson, Rae McFadden, Kyle Manion, Jacob Williams, Kristina Woods, Hannah Ramey, Zach Hall, Ethan Williamson, Joe Litteken, Leif Parker, Tyler Carrell, Miranda Tate and Alexis Rayl.

Cloverdale's Winter Drumline will be performing an original composition by Instructor Rusty Bottemley. The unit has been an Indiana Percussion Association State Finalist the past two years. The group has 21 Cloverdale students and eight Monrovia students. They will perform in the Percussion Independent A division. Upcoming performances for the contests at Pendleton on Feb 25, Mt. Vernon/Fortville March 10 and Avon on March 17, State Finals are March 24 at Ben Davis.

The Cloverdale Winter Guard has been participating in Indiana High School Color Guard Association contest this winter. The group performed its show, "Anger Management" at a recent home basketball game. The program continues to mature and progress under the direction of Mrs. Angie Raisor.

Middle School Principal is Mrs. Stacey Baugh, High School Principal is Mr. Sonny Stoltz, Band Director is Mr. William Cole.
