Putnam SWCD sets whodunit dinner fundraiser on March 10

Putnam County Soil and Water Conservation District will be holding its inaugural fundraising event on Saturday, March 10 at the Dixie Chopper Conference Center at the Putnam County Airport off Ballard Lane in Greencastle.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner beginning at 6. The original whodunit, "Murder on Muckduck Mountain," featuring the Drive-by Comedy Troupe, will be played throughout the evening with audience participation.

Members of the Drive by Comedy Troupe include TJ Tincher, Christopher Hansen, Ryan Niemiller, Rachelle M. Wilburn, Eric Wilburn and narrator Travis Dillon.

A silent auction will be available throughout the evening. Many local vendors have donated to the auction and there is something for everyone to enjoy.

A sampling of items available through the silent auction are: Beekeeping lessons and bees, gift certificates from Almost Home, Farmer's Daughter, Red Barn, Tupperware products, Studio 31 products, 3-4 day resort getaway, and many more items too numerous to mention.

Proceeds of the event will go toward continuing programs of the Putnam County Soil and Water Conservation District.

The ticket cost is $18 per person in advance. Cash or check only (the SWCD is not set up for credit or debit cards).

Reservations are necessary as there will be no tickets sold at the door. Deadline for reservations is March 2.
