Chili supper fundraiser support appreciated

Friday, March 16, 2012

To the Editor:

The volunteers of Putnam County's American Red Cross would like to thank the community for your support and generosity during our annual Chili Supper and Silent Auction.

To our lead sponsor, The Waters of Greencastle, and sponsors Delta Theta Tau and the Putnam Inn, you made our evening delicious!

Special thanks to the National Guard for providing our location, to DJ Mike Walsh of Sounds Unlimited for providing our entertainment, and to Boy Scout Troop 99 for kicking off the event.

Our auction was a huge success this year thanks to our donors: Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers, Indiana Fever, Indianapolis Indians, Indianapolis Ice, Holiday World 'n Splashin' Safari, Deer Creek Golf Club, Purdue University athletics, Indianapolis Children's Museum, Chiyoda, Jameson Coffee, First National Bank, Teachers Credit Union, Wood Builder Inc., Olde Homestead Shoppe, Don's Garage, Casa Grande Restaurant, Ashley Square Cinema, Marvin's Restaurant, Jinsie Bingham, Kim Duell of Scentsy, Suzanne Harrison of Thirty One, Marla Helton of Serendipity Designs, Lisa Cooper of Studio B, Humphrey's Outdoor, Chief's Restaurant, Bert & Betty's, Almost Home, Mama Nunz, Final Approach Bistro and Treasures on the Square.

The evening would not be complete without the participation of our partner agencies, United Way of Putnam County, Greencastle Fire Department, Putnam County Operation Life and the Greencastle Police Department, and promotions by the Banner Graphic, Hoosier Topics and WREB Radio.

On behalf of Putnam County residents that need our services in times of fire or other disaster, during separation of a military family or training in life-saving skills, thank you for your continuing support.
