County Jail

Two people were booked into the Putnam County Jail on Thursday, March 29.

* At 9:15 a.m. Christopher Wayne Stewart, 45, Martinsville, was charged with stalking and harassment.

* At 1:30 p.m. Cody James McNew, 23, Indianapolis, was arrested on a warrant for conversion and probation violation.

McNew was arrested at Warren Drive and Avenue C by Greencastle Police Officer Darrel Bunten.

Sheriff's Department

* On Thursday, March 29 at 7:50 a.m. Timothy M. Dean, 46, Brazil, was westbound on U.S. 40 just east of County Road 750 West in a 2002 Ford F250. Dean hit a turkey that flew into his windshield, shattering the glass.

The damage was listed at less than $1,000.
