BRAZIL -- The Greencastle boys' golf team travel to Forest Park to compete in the Northview Invite. The Tiger Cubs won the tournament with a score of 290 and Alec Davis won medalist honors for his round of 70.

Davis and teammate Luke Brotherton both carded rounds of 70, but Davis was able to win on the third playoff hole. Brad Haussin shot a 71, with Tanner Dean adding a 79 and Raymond Stinson shot an 85 for GHS.

"The course was playing very hard and fast and all of our players handled the conditions extremely well," GHS head coach Steve Paquin said. "I am very pleased with the play and the composure shown from Alec, Luke, Brad, and Tanner during today's tournament; Raymond had some trouble on the back nine, but still hit many good shots."

Paquin noted this was the first time the Tiger Cubs have won the Northview Invite.

"This was a great way to start off the season and hopefully we will continue our strong play throughout the season," he said.

Greencastle will be on the road against West Vigo Thursday.
