Jerry H. Meece

Jerry H. Meece, 68, of Greencastle, formerly of Danville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 9, 2012.

Jerry was born June 28, 1943 in Somerset, Ky., to Ellis and Geneva Meece. He was married to Sara "Angel" (Tracy) Meece for 26 years.

Jerry was an auto mechanic for many years in the Danville area, living in Danville and Heritage Lake for more than 53 years.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Danville American Legion Post 118.

Survivors include wife Sara "Angel" Meece of Greencastle; sons Terry (Teresa) Finchum of Russellville, Dennis Rivers of Ladoga, Daniel Rivers of Greencastle, Jacob Meece of Indianapolis and Cory Meece of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Glenda Rose of Somerset.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 12 at Weaver & Randolph Funeral Home, 102 S. Indiana St., Danville. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in the Bainbridge Cemetery.
