"It was an electrical fire in the wall of the bedroom," said Jefferson Township Fire Chief Rick Cooper. "There's no doubt about that."

Terry, along with a family friend, was in the home when the fire started. The two noticed the fire and were able to get out of the home safely.

Nearly 21,000 gallons of water were used to battle the blaze, which took firefighters more four hours to put out.

The home was a total loss.

The fire departments responding were Mill Creek, Bainbridge, Jefferson Township, Fillmore, Reelsville, Greencastle, Cloverdale, Danville, A&A Township and Stilesville. Operation Life, Putnam County Sheriff's Department and the State Police were also on scene.
