Davis fires a 2-under 34 to lead GHS

SPEEDWAY -- The Greencastle boys' golf team posted a score of 149 to win a three-way match with Speedway and Lapel. Finishing second behind the Tiger Cubs was Lapel with 157 and the host Sparkplugs were third with a 180.

GHS golf Alec Davis fired a two-under 34 to lead the Tiger Cubs on the day. Brad Haussin shot a 37 and Luke Brotherton added a 38. Tanner Dean and Raymond Stinson scored a pair of 40s and Derik Thomas shot a 45.

"All five scores were very solid on a very good course," GHS head coach Steve Paquin said. "Alec's two-under 34 was a great score. Every aspect of his game was on today. Brad and Luke had excellent rounds and Tanner and Raymond rounded out the very good score of 149.

"Everyone was focused and our execution was very consistent."

Greencastle will be on the road against Southmont Thursday.
