Eagles win tri-meet over Clay City, Shakamak

The South Putnam girls' track team hosted Shakamak and Clay City on Tuesday, winning the meet with 72 points.

The Eagles won five total events, including two individually, the 100-meter hurdles and 300-hurdles, by Ariel Higgins. She was also a member of the 4x100 relay that took first place, along with Steffany Baker, Jessica Jones and Josalynn Farmer.

South Putnam also had victories in the 100, by Farmer, and pole vault, by Jenna Geier.

Shakamak finished second at the meet, scoring 61 points. Clay City scored 31.

On Monday Cloverdale defeated South Putnam and Host Owen Valley in a three-team meet.
