Edwards named United Way director
The United Way of Putnam County has welcomed Jennifer Edwards to the organization as the new executive director. Edwards will succeed David English, who served in the position for the last four years.
Edwards is a lifelong resident of Putnam County. She graduated from Greencastle High School and has earned an associates degree in business from Indiana Wesleyan University. She has been a Realtor salesperson with Wood & Associates Real Estate, Inc. since 2004 and has served various positions on the Putnam County Board of Realtors since that time.
Previously, Edwards was on the Red Cross Leadership Council, as well as their Disaster Action Team.
She was employed at DePauw University for the last 5 years.
Edwards is married to Adam Edwards, an Indiana State Trooper, and has four children.
They are active members of Greencastle Christian Church.
Edwards said she is excited to serve the community in this capacity and feels that her education, experience and knowledge of the community will only aid in carrying out the mission of the United Way of Putnam County.
