CRAWFORDSVILLE -- The Greencastle boys' golf team posted a 156-170 win over Southmont Thursday on the road.

Greencastle's Alec Davis tied Southmont's Taylor Monts with a score of 37 for low round of the match. Brad Haussin also posted a sub-40 round, shooting 38.

Tanner Dean shot a 40, with Luke Brotherton adding a 41 and Raymond Stinson and Adam Jayne shooting 43 each. Derik Thomas carded a 45 and Joe Kaiser shot a 48.

Wataru Otaki shot a 50, Carl Basile a 55 and Justin Baxter came in with a round of 61.

"Alec Davis and Brad Haussin had the two scores under 40 under windy and tough scoring conditions," GHS head coach Steve Paquin said. "All the Tiger Cub players hit some good and bad shots and had difficulty with the slower than usual greens. We have to adjust to the conditions better if we expect to continue to improve.

"Overall, (it was) a good win and a learning experience," he added.

The Tiger Cubs will participate in the Terre Haute South Invite at Rea Park today at 10:20 a.m.
