Clovers win over Bulldogs

CLOVERDALE -- The Cloverdale softball team defeated Union Dugger 9-5 Saturday.

Jess Winders was 3-for-3 for the Clovers, with a double and three RBI. Bradanne Toney went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI. Adri Patterson was 2-for-2 at the plate, with Kara Knapp, Heather Goss and Justina Wellington contributing hits.

Kat Raisor started for Cloverdale and was relieved by Paige Gutierrez. Gutierrez struck out 11 batters, while Raisor struck out one.

The Cloverdale junior varsity also picked up a win 12-7.
