Cinco de Mayo program slated for May 5 at Robe-Ann Park

What does Cinco de Mayo mean? What is the significance of May 5?

The Putnam County Public Library and the Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department have planned a Cinco de Mayo event for 1-3 p.m. Saturday, May 5 at shelterhouse No. 1 in Robe-Ann Park.

The program will celebrate Cinco de Mayo through stories, craft activities and snacks with fun planned for the whole family, including a piņata.

Cost is $5 per youth with pre-registration required. A minimum of five pre-registered participants will be necessary to hold the program.
