Sandusky - 60th Anniversary

Darrell and Alberta Sandusky of Roachdale celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Friday, May 4. Darrell and the former Alberta Ruth Ashley were married May 4, 1952 in Indianapolis at the home of the bride's mother.

Darrell retired from Detroit Diesel Allison Division in Speedway where he worked as a production supervisor, and Alberta retired from North Putnam Community School Corporation where she worked as a librarian and teaching assistant at Roachdale Elementary School.

Both had worked for North Putnam Community Corporation after retirement -- Darrell as a bus driver transporting students to the Indiana School for the Blind and Alberta as a bus assistant.

They have two children, Susan (David) Trent of Roachdale and David (Diane) Sandusky of Avon. They have three grandchildren, Ashley Tyler, Tyler Trent and Spencer Sandusky. They also have two great-granddaughters, Jayda Ruth and Kayden Ann Tyler.

Darrell and Alberta celebrated their anniversary with a private family gathering at Avon Health and Rehabilitation Center on May 6. Cards and well wishes from friends and family are welcome.
