Services pending for Sharon Evans

Sharon Crawley Evans, age 69, of Greencastle died Sunday, May 6, 2012.

She was the daughter of Glen Crawley and Irene Welch Crawley.

On June 9, 1972 she married Robert W. Evans. He survives.

Sharon is also survived by a son, Scott Griffith Evans, and daughter-in-law, Amy Atcheson Evans and their daughter, Anna Noelle Evans.

Also surviving are two stepsons, Robert Stanton Evans (wife Allison Wharry) and Richard Bradley Evans. Stan and Allison have two children, Allen Burkhart Evans and Anna Delaplaine Evans. Brad has three children, Taylor Wynne Evans, Shelby Mann Evans and Grace Kathleen Evans.

Sharon is also survived by a sister, Kaye Crawley, and several nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by the hundreds and hundreds of fifth- and sixth-grade children with whom, as their teacher, she shared her knowledge, her love and her values.

The family asks that any memorial gifts be given to the Sharon C. Evans fund in the Putnam County Community Foundation.

  • Beautiful memories are never forgotten, and Sharon was one of those for so many as well as myself. My sympathy to her family and loved ones.
