North Putnam tames Bulldogs in 9-2 win

ROACHDALE -- The North Putnam baseball team enjoyed a 9-2 win over Monrovia Friday.

Jake Haste picked up the win for the Cougars, throwing six innings and allowing three hits, while striking out seven.

At the plate, Austin Day was 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI, while Coy Flynn was 2-for-3 with two RBI. Haste, Beau Green, Jordan Nauert all added hits on the night.

The Cougars begin the Putnam County tournament with a noon showdown with South Putnam today.
