Cloverdale tops Eels

CLOVERDALE -- The Cloverdale softball team defeated Eminence 13-4 Friday on Senior Night.

Senior Paige Gutirrez pitched five innings, striking out six and allowing four hits. She added an RBI at the plate.

Senior Kara Knapp was 3-for-3 with two singles, and a double, with fellow senior Brianna Hoff going 3-for-5 with a triple and two singles.

Jess Winders added a double, with Madison Smith adding two singles and Beka Jordan contributing single.

The Clovers defeated West Vigo 3-2 Thursday.

Gutierrez pitched a complete game, allowing six hits and striking out seven.

Knapp had two doubles for the Clovers, with Beka Jordan adding a double. Winders had two singles, with Gutierrez and Justeena Wellington contributing singles.
