Farmers' Market Season Here

Monday, May 21, 2012

After opening for the season Saturday morning on the north and east sides of the courthouse square, the Greencastle Farmers' Market will now be a fixture downtown each Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon through Oct. 13. A variety of vendors offered goods and produce for sale on opening day as consistent crowds enjoyed a sunny day that even brought out umbrellas for protection from the sun and heat. While Andrew Genotte of Geno's Kettle Corn stirs the sweet popcorn treat in his welder's mask, entertainer John Beans becomes the fiddler on the square in providing the day's musical entertainment.
