Saying Goodbye

Thursday, May 24, 2012
Sixth-grader Hayley Young (above) seemed in good spirits walking out of school.

Keeping with tradition, Reelsville Elementary celebrated its fifth- and sixth-graders by lining the halls and high fiving them on their way out. Although many students took this time to chant 'no more school!', it was a tearful goodbye for most as none of them will be returning to Reelsville next year.

Student Daniel Gorham and secretary Angie Nichols shared a tearful hug before leaving for the summer.
Teacher Jeff Raab and student Justin Oldham (bottom, at right) shared a moment before he headed to the bus.

  • Too bad we spent so much money keeping Filmore from closing down. Perhaps if we did shut it down my taxes this year would not have sky rocketed.
