Rosetta Cummings

Rosetta Alice "Rosie" Cummings, 91, Fillmore, passed away on June 8, 2012 at Greencastle.

She was born on January 12, 1921 in Putnam County and was the daughter of the late Roy Albert and Mary Elizabeth (Dunn) Clark.

She married Clarence Cleon Cummings on Sept. 1, 1941 and he preceded her in death on January 20, 1994. She was a nurse's aide at the Putnam County Hospital and an Avon representative. She loved reading, doing crossword puzzles, playing cards and being with her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter Mary Edna Cummings; her son Allan Cummings and wife Pamela of Fillmore; her sister Carol Blue and husband Robert of Greencastle; her brothers Gerald Clark and wife Donna of Centerville and Steven Clark and wife Barbara of Greencastle; her grandchildren Candance Leclerq and husband Larry, Melinda Lewellen, Paul Cummings and wife Dana, Chris Cummings and wife Alexis and Les Cummings; her great-grandchildren Caylie and Cassidy Leclerq, P. J., Owen, Ruby Rose and Hazel Myla Cummings.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 11 at 11 a.m. at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 10 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Cloverdale Cemetery.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Flossie Joan Lewellen; her son Michael Cleon Cummings; her sisters Maxine Baldwin, Jerri June Clark, Lula Edna Cox, Joilet Lawson and Florence Louise Mager; her brothers Roy A. Clark Jr., William "Bill" Warren Clark and Bobby Keith Clark.
