A Summer Treat

Enjoying her summer vacation Ameliana Partin set up her own lemonade stand at U.S. 231 and Seminary Street on Friday. With a stead flow of customers, Ameliana hopes to save her money to buy herself a pool pass. Neighbor Jared Hutcheson stopped for a glass on his way home from work.

  • Ameliana, keep up the good work! It is delightful to see a child working for something she wants, not just expecting someone to hand out the money. And if a child needs a permit to have a lemonade stand then something is wrong with this world! This article brought back wonderful memories of my childhood when my cousin and I had a lemonade stand across from a ball park. We did great business and when the lemonade ran out we sold water--and we thought people were crazy to pay money for water! How times have changed!

  • I think the permit thing is per county and she has a lemonade stand every year. This is my daugther and she gets excited every time summer rolls around. Thank you all for your support she will probably have another one in about 3-4 weeks she loves doing them:)
