Monday, July 2, 2012

LITTLE POINT -- Get ready for more road work along Interstate 70 in the area between Cloverdale and Plainfield.

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced that a resurfacing project on Interstate 70 -- from just west of State Road 39 to just west of State Road 267 -- is scheduled to begin on or after Thursday, July 5.

The resurfacing project was awarded by INDOT to Rieth-Riley Construction, Indianapolis, for $7.7 million.

The project will have 11-foot lane restrictions on the interstate in the area in which the contractor will be working.

The resurfacing work is scheduled for completion by Nov.15.

INDOT officials remind drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through a construction zone.
