James W. Bryant, 82, Spencer, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2012 at his residence.
He was born on March 25, 1930 in Detroit, Mich., and was the son of the late Lester G. and Clara E. (Schwartz) Bryant.
He was a retired truck driver for Yellow Freight and was a member of Teamsters Local 135, Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Shrine, lifetime member of VFW 1550, Jesse M. Lee Post, Greencastle, and was a charter member of Eagles Lodge 4348, Greencastle.
He was veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his children, Lynnette C. Bryant, Spencer, Jamie A. Tingle, Spencer, Wendy Bryant, Defiance, Ohio, Mary L. Gutierrec, Ottawa, Ohio, and Greg J. Bryant, Pauldiing, Ohio, sister-in-law, Barbara Bryant, Grand Rapids, Mich., 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 7 at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be held Saturday from 2 p.m. until service time.
In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Lester G. Bryant, Jr.
