R & R Auction Depot, opened recently in Greencastle by brothers Robert and Ronald (aka Max) Hochstetler, holds auctions every other Monday evening at 502 N. Jackson St.

Brothers Robert and Ronald (Max) Hochstetler announce the opening of R & R Auction Depot at 502 N. Jackson St. in Greencastle, just south of the City Police Station in the old Coca-Cola building on the west side of U.S. 231.

Robert Hochstetler is more involved behind the scenes and in the office but brother Max, a 15-year resident of Putnam County, is front and center at every auction as the entertaining auctioneer for R & R Auction Depot.

Max has experience with auctions and consignment and has focused that knowledge to make the auction facility and experience everything he wanted as an auction patron, he said.

The Hochstetlers provide a well-organized atmosphere where friendly competition is encouraged. Above all, the brothers stress their commitment to maintaining customer confidence and upholding their reputation for honest, straightforward business relations.

R & R Auction Depot is not only an auction house, but also offers consignment sales, estates, and can assist residents with pick-up and delivery. They will also list items on eBay for customers.

"When you go to an R & R Auction Depot event you can expect to have a fun evening with local neighbors and perhaps meet bidders from out of town," the Hochstetlers said. "You will likely find a unique item, useful item or a special part of your collection at a fair price."

The pieces offered for auction (many pictured at www.auctionzip.com) are varied and interesting.

As an added convenience feature, buys may use their bidding number to pay for refreshments at the snack bar, and use cash or a credit card to check out at the end of the auction.

Auctions are held every other Monday evening.

"It's always fun to find something you didn't even know you wanted!" the Hochstetlers added.
