City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department has responded to a number of recent dispatches.

* On Saturday at 8:45 a.m. crews were sent to 750 S. Fillmore Rd. for a medical assist. They finished at 9:01.

At 12:52 p.m. GFD was dispatched to a grass fire at 175 N. County Road 175 East. The fire was put out after nearly a half-acre burned and crews left at 1:37 p.m.

At 7:03 p.m. crews were sent to 330 Greenwood Ave. because a fallen tree was in the road, returning at 7:36 p.m.

At 10:03 p.m. GFD responded to a grass fire at 25 W. County Road 300 South, stopping the fire at 10:40 p.m. after about a half-acre was burned.

* On Sunday at 7:18 a.m. crews responded to a gas leak at 1158 Avenue C, leaving at 8:11 a.m.
