Friday, July 13, 2012

A third annual memorial motorcycle ride in the memory of Tyler James Adams is scheduled for Saturday, July 28.

Organizers hope to raise significant funds through the ride, raffles and breakfast at the Putnam Inn in order to assist youth in need in our community through the Putnam County Youth Development organization.

The ride is being run in memory of Adams, who died June 12, 2010 at age 16.

Participants can sign up the morning of the ride during a 9-11 a.m. breakfast at Putnam Inn. Riders are on their own for breakfast.

The ride will begin at 11 a.m., hitting four or five surrounding counties before returning to Greencastle by 4:30 p.m.

The ride route will head south out of Greencastle over U.S. 231, U.S. 40, State Road 243, State Road 42 and State Road 59.

Cost of the ride is $20 for single riders and $30 per couple.

A 50-50 drawing, raffles and T-shirt sales will also help raise funds.

For more information, persons may call 653-3285, 721-1434 or 720-2983.
