Playhouse auditions on Sunday, Monday

Director Larry Sutton will hold two sessions of auditions for the Putnam County Playhouse comedy "See How They Run."

The first session will be Sunday, July 22 at 3 p.m. A second session will be at 7 p.m. Monday, July 23.

Both sessions will be at the Rehearsal Center of the Hazel Day Longden Theatre.

The comedy will be produced Sept. 13-15 and Sept. 19-22. Corporate sponsor for the production is Shuee and Sons.

"See How They Run" is a British farce of quick entrances and exits, mistaken identities and inept policemen.

Among the characters to be cast are Penelope Toop, the vicar's wife, an American actress; Lionel Toop, the vicar; Ida, a Cockney maid; Clive Winton, Penelope's former acting partner; the Bishop of Lax; plus policemen and an escaped prisoner.

Stage age varies for the players, but there are no roles for children in this production.

Sutton is looking for both players and members of the crew.
