Food Pantry Receives Donation in Time of Need

Thursday, July 19, 2012
The Putnamville United Methodist Church recently brought a donation to the Putnam County Emergency Food Pantry. The church, which contributes monthly to the food pantry, made sure to donate a bit more as the pantry is in an extreme time of need. The pantry has donated to 911 households within the first six months of 2012 and has served 2,777 people. In total nearly 40,000 meals have been given out. Present for the donation were (from left) pastor Tim Matthews, church treasurer Becky Samsel, and food pantry president Judy Miller.
