Annis M. Robinson

Annis M. Robinson, 90, of Fillmore, went peacefully to be with her Lord on Thursday July 19, 2012 in her residence.

Born Jan. 7, 1922 in Putnam County, she was the daughter of Earl D. Varvel and Ethel (Smith) Varvel.

She married Curtis H. Robinson, and he preceded her.

Annis had worked as a homemaker, retired from G.C. Murphy, also worked as a cook for Fillmore High School for more than 10 years, as a cook for DePauw University in Rector Hall, and as a biscuit maker for Hardee's.

She was the eldest member of the Fillmore United Methodist Church.

Her hobbies included euchre, crocheting, baseball and traveling.

Survivors include five children, Caroline Jones and husband Jack, Roachdale, Marilyn Cooper and husband Bill, Fillmore, Jeneene Lyon and husband Richard, Fillmore, Randy Robinson and wife Marjorie, Fillmore, and Rick Robinson and wife Jackie, Greencastle; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and several nieces.

She was preceded by her parents, husband, two brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., July 24 in Fillmore United Methodist Church. Services are set for 2 p.m. in the church with Pastor James Lyon, Pastor Brandon Jones, and Dr. Brian Palmer Smith officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fillmore Cemetery.
