Airport Appreciation

Karla Lawless of the Putnam County Convention and Visitor Bureau recently awarded the Putnam County Airport Appreciation Days (PCAAD) Group a check for $1,000. The money awarded to the PCAAD Group will be used to help them with their advertising efforts for this year's 13th annual event. The annual Airport Appreciation Days has now grown to a community wide event. Although the event is mainly to heighten awareness of the local airport and to offer aviation opportunities, family wide entertainment will be offered and many of the local non-profit groups will be in attendance distributing information concerning their activities. The dates for this year's event are Sept 8 and 9. The presentation was attended by (from left) airport manager Doug Miller, PCAAD chairman Jack Sutton, treasurer Ginger Scott, Lawless and vice chairman J.R. Scott.
