LAFAYETTE -- The Greencastle girls' golf team placed 16th among 18th team at the McCutcheon Invite Thursday. The Tiger Cubs fired a 467 for the Invite. Lafayette Jeff (Red) won with a score of 337, while Western's Allison Lindley won medalist with a round of 69.
Kenzie St. Marie led the GHS team with a 105, followed by Liz Johnson with a 112. Lauren Bridgewater shot a 125 and Lokysa Scheuermann with a 124.
"There are some signs of good play, such as Kenzie getting a nice birdie on No. 5, but overall we have a lot of work to do," head coach Brad Kingma said. "We particularly struggled with our putting in reading the speeds of the greens."
