CLOVERDALE -- Cloverdale's girls' golf squad defeated Owen Valley on Monday by a score of 210-225 at Clover Meadows.

Sydney Shrum carded the low score of the day with a round of 40 for the Clovers. Makayla Moore shot 51, Anna Spencer carded a 57 and Payton Dorsett rounded out the scoring with a 62.

Cloverdale head coach Matthew Langdon said it was good for the squad to be shooting a 210 score at this point in the season.

"I was very pleased with our team score tonight. Our goal for the last two years is to break 200 by the end of the season," Langdon said.

"It was great to see us post a number close to that this early in the season. We're also happy to see our freshmen girls competing nicely in their first meet."
