At the Putnam County Museum's annual membership dinner meeting and summer gala Saturday in the DePauw Memorial Union Building, Steve Setchell (left), director of corporate and foundation relations and chairman of the ongoing 175th anniversary committee at DePauw University, noted that the museum's current exhibit on DPU "tells a thought-provoking and instructive story of local history in synergy with the missions of both the museum and DePauw." He added, "Through the exhibit and other programs, the museum is not only bridging generations, connecting communities and preserving the past, but it is also advancing DePauw's mission of opening up wonderful opportunities for teaching and learning." Setchell invited the community to both visit the museum, and to join DePauw in celebrating its 175th anniversary year by taking part in events throughout the year.

Meanwhile, Therese Cunningham (top right), president of the museum board, presents flowers to Maryann Meyer, director of the museum's volunteer docents, The museum, located at 1105 N. Jackson St., has a permanent collection of more than 2,000 Putnam County-related artifacts and exhibits that change throughout the year.
