The Greencastle School Board will meet for a public meeting on the 2013 school budget on Wednesday, Aug. 29.
The school board agreed to the date at Wednesday's regular meeting, setting it for 7 p.m. in the administrative office board room.
Budget adoption is set for the Wednesday, Sept. 12 regular meeting.
Prior to the public hearing, the budget will be advertised twice in the Banner Graphic, on Aug. 15 and 22.
Superintendent Lori Richmond said the total budget estimate for next year is $21,398,147.
As for current finances, Richmond told the board most funds are running at around the 50 percent mark, which is a good place to be at the beginning of August.
