The Wabash Valley chapter of the American Red Cross received a nearly $2,400 donation from Mill Pond. On hand for the donation were (from left) Brooke Trissel (Mill Pond), Ginger Scott (Red Cross), Dale Anderson (Red Cross), Kathie Skeel (Red Cross) and Perry Daugherty (Mill Pond).

Mill Pond Health donated nearly $2,400 to the Wabash Valley chapter of the American Red Cross recently.

The funds were raised during a June 16 Fish Fry at Mill Pond.

"The need is constant for Red Cross services," Dale Anderson of the Red Cross said. "It's about more than just what you see."

Last year, Anderson said, the Red Cross spent more than $6,000 in Putnam County helping nearly 50 people.

"All the money spent is from the generosity of Putnam County," he said.

There are a number of options for donating to the Red Cross: Online at redcross.org, by contacting the Wabash Valley chapter, located at 700 S. Third St., Terre Haute, or by texting "redcross" to 90999, which automatically donates $10.
