ROACHDALE -- The Cloverdale seventh grade football team scored 15 unanswered second half points to defeat North Putnam 23-6.
The score was 8-6 in favor of Cloverdale at the half. The Clovers put points on the board at the beginning of the third when Tyler Kaett scored on a 35-yard touchdown.
Defensively, Ethan Radford led Cloverdale with 14 tackles.
"This was a great game to watch, but hard for coaches as both teams played very hard and (showed) very good sportsmanship," head coach Billy Boyette said.
The Clovers (2-0) will travel to Monrovia Thursday.
