Walker Bag Donation

Thursday, September 13, 2012

The Putnam County Hopsital for the first time ever recently received a donation from the Extension Homemakers Group "Family, Friends and Fun." The group donated 38 handmade bags that hopsital patients can attach to their walkers, which will be used by inpatients during their stay and for when they return home. Material for the bags was 90 percent donated on behalf of the late Tommie Swilling, a former Home Extension leader. Present for the donation at PCH were (front, left) Sue Ryland, Sue Woodall, Cheryl Miles, June Woodall and Linda Mundy. The bags will be distributed to patients throughout the hospital.
