Cloverdale JV win own Invitational

CLOVERDALE -- The Cloverdale junior varsity team hosted and won the Cloverdale Junior Varsity Invitational Saturday. The Clovers defeated Owen Valley in the final 25-21 and 25-17.

Cloverdale began its way by defeating West Vigo 25-4 and 25-13. They then defeated Turkey Run 25-17 and 25-17 to win its pool and set up its showdown with the Patriots in the final.

Kim Winders helped lead the Clovers by collecting 33 points and 57 digs, while Lexi Brannaman recorded 28 kills. Christa Asbury had 30 points, with Savannah Jones adding 15 points.

Jessica Winders had 44 set assists on the day, while Megan Helterbrand collected 14 kills and Ali Nees tallied two kills.

The Clovers move to 12-4 on the season.
