Marjorie E. Hopkins, 82, of Roachdale passed away at Franciscan St. Elizabeth Hospital at Crawfordsville on Friday morning, Sept. 21, 2012.

She was born on May 28, 1930 to Everett and Lucille Purkey Camblin at Morocco, Ind.

She was a homemaker and also drove a school bus for North Putnam Schools.

She graduated from Greene Township High School in 1948.

She was a member of the Russell Chapel Church in Newton County, Town & Country Home Ec Club, Roachdale Euchre Club, Roachdale Canasta Club, Crafty Quints Craft Club and Greene Township Alumni.

She also judged foods at the Indiana State Fair.

She married Avery Hopkins on June 6, 1948 at Portland Mills, and he survives.

Other survivors include three sons, Terry D. Hopkins and his significant other Sandy, Trent (Pam) Hopkins and Todd (Sandy) Hopkins; a daughter, Brenda Holscher; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Machledt and Servies Funeral Home 301 E. Green St., Waveland.

Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 p.m. with burial at Portland Mills Cemetery. Father Don Gross will officiate.
