Ada L. Craver, age 90, of Greencastle, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012.
Born Feb. 13, 1922 in Putnam County, she was the daughter of Ernest and Nettie (Johnson) O'Hair and a 1940 graduate of Bainbridge High School.
She married Harold Craver on June 1, 1941 and he preceded her in death.
Ada had been a homemaker and a member of the Brick Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Helen and husband Hallie Taylor and Grace Hudson and fiancÚ Wendell Rogers, all of Greencastle; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister Doris (Lawrence) Smith of Greencastle; two brothers, James (Virginia) O'Hair of Greencastle and Reese (Judy) O'Hair of Pittsboro; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Velma Dawes and brother Clarence O'Hair.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 11 a.m. at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, with Rev. Paul Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Brick Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday, Oct. 15 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
