County Jail

Two people were booked into the Putnam County Jail on Friday, Oct. 12.

* At 2:45 p.m. Devon Gregory Garcia, 29, New Carlisle, Ohio, was arrested for burglary and theft.

* At 5:21 p.m. Anthony Carson, 20, Poland, was charged with reckless driving, operating a motor vehicle having never received a license and probation violation.

Sheriff's Department

On Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 5:50 a.m. Jessica R. Hartman, 24, Cloverdale, was westbound on State Road 42 in a 1999 Ford Expedition.

The SUV left the north side of the road, where it hit a utility pole, breaking it off and pulling it from the ground.

The vehicle continued west and came to rest in a culvert.

Operation Life transported Hartman to Putnam County Hospital with abdominal/pelvic pain.

Damage was estimated at $5,001-$10,000.
