First Baptist Church to host Life Line screenings slated for Nov. 19

Saturday, October 20, 2012

First Baptist Church will host a stroke and osteoporosis screening from Life Line Screening on Monday, Nov. 19. The church is located at 404 Judson Drive.

Screening packages start at $149 and all five screenings will take about 60-90 minutes to complete.

Strokes are the third leading cause of death and a leading cause of permanent disability. Eighty precent of stroke victims had no apparent warning signs prior to their stroke. This is why screenings are important. They are fast, noninvasive, painless, affordable and convenient.

Screenings identify potential cardiovascular conditions such as blocked arteries and irregular heart rhythm and abdominal aortic aneurysms. They also look for hardening of the arteries in the legs, which is a strong predicator of heart disease.

For more information regarding the screenings or to schedule an appointment, call 1 (877) 237-1287 or visit the website at lifelinescreening.com/press-room/default.aspx.
