John Stokes

John Stokes, 75, Greencastle, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012.

A self-employed plumbing contractor, he was a member of Greencastle American Legion Post 58 and the AMVETS.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Daisy Robbins Stokes, and a son, Randy Stokes.

Survivors include a son, Jerry Stokes; two daughters, Brenda Shultheis and Terry Sheets; two brothers, Jack and Bill Stokes; two sisters, Joan Ratliff and Sue Halcomb; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4 at Conkle Funeral Home, Avon.

Visitation is scheduled for 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
