County Jail

Two people were booked into the Putnam County Jail on Thursday, Nov. 1.

* At 11:20 a.m. Paul David Himsel, 53, Cloverdale, was arrested for operating while intoxicated.

* At 2:55 p.m. Jonella Kay Wallace, 55, Roachdale, was charged with theft, probation violation and as a habitual felony offender.

City Police

Two speeding citations were issued early Friday by Greencastle City Police.

-- At 1:35 a.m., Eva Carter, 48, Poland, was ticketed by Officer Nick Eastham on Bloomington Street, south of Martinsville Street, for 53 mph in a 30-mph zone.

-- At 12:10 a.m., Mohammad Usman, 24, The Bronx, N.Y., was cited by Officer Eastham on Bloomington Street, south of Martinsville Street, for 52 mph in a 30-mph zone.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department was dispatched once on Thursday night. At 9:23 p.m. crews went to 807 S. College Ave. An alarm was set off during cooking. They were back in service at 9:36 p.m.
