Terry W. Lents of Bainbridge passed away at his home on Thursday evening, Nov. 8, 2012. He was 56.
He was born on July 1, 1956 at Greencastle to George C. and Clara Louise Cloncs Lents.
He had attended the Bainbridge United Methodist Church.
Terry graduated from North Putnam High School in 1974.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
He worked as a pipe fitter at Olin Brass and Navistar in Indianapolis. Prior to his illness he worked at the Plainfield Correction Center in Plainfield.
He married Janice L. Simmerman at Bainbridge on Dec. 1, 2001, and she survives.
Other survivors include two children. Jennifer and husband Tony Lehman of Greencastle, and John and wife Amanda Childress of Terre Haute, and four grandchildren.
He also is survived by three brothers, Eddie and wife Rita of Amory, Mass., Denny and Wife Jean of Plainfield, his twin brother Jerry and wife Becky Lents of Bainbridge; a sister, Janet and husband Bob Clampitt of Roachdale, several nieces and nephews and lifelong friend David Crawley of Bainbridge.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12 at Servies and Morgan 102 E. Washington St., Roachdale.
Visitation will be Monday from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pastor Mindy Huffman will officiate and burial will be at Bainbridge Cemetery.
