Carolyn E. Trout, age 68, of Danville, formerly of Greencastle, passed away on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012.
Born May 2, 1944 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Millard and Ella (Harrison) Trout and was a 1962 graduate of Amo High School.
Carolyn had worked at the Putnam County Hospital as a ward secretary for 31 years.
Survivors include her sister, Kathy Graves and husband, Jim of Avon; a brother, Rodney Trout and wife, Linda of Coatesville; four nieces, Sarah Phelps, Becky (Mike) Roach, Nancy (Brad) Collins and Sharon (Rory) Everling; two nephews, Jimmy (Barb) Vaughn and Sam Vaughn; several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, John Trout; a sister, Pat Vaughn; and three nephews, Steve Vaughn, Mike Trout and Scott Trout.
Private family services will be conducted at a later date.
Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
