Joseph K. Wilson

Joseph K. Wilson, age 73, of New Bremen, Ohio, died on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 in the early morning at his residence.

He was born on Feb. 9, 1939 in Covington, Ohio. He was the son of Robert W. and Frances (Brunap) Wilson.

On Aug. 20, 1976 he married Patricia Krieg, who survives near New Bremen.

Joe was a 1957 graduate of New Bremen High School. He enjoyed fishing, working outdoors and watching "Gunsmoke" reruns.

He retired in 2001 from the former Dairy Farms Products of New Bremen and was currently working at the Cardinal Express of New Bremen.

Also surviving are his children, Dan Wilson of Evansville, Joe (Denise) Wilson of Willshire, Ohio, John (Linda) Wilson of Greencastle, Diane (Rodney) Wilson of Rockford, Ohio, Delilah (Colt) Starlain of Portland, Ind., Mathew (Jennifer) Wilson of Houston, Texas, Christine (Matt) Schlater and Brianne Wilson, both of Celina, Ohio; 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Other survivors include his brother James (Janice) Wilson of Bremen, Ind., his mother-in-law Ruth Krieg of New Bremen and his in-laws; Carol Wilson of New Bremen, Harold (Doris) Krieg of New Bremen, Jean (Ron) Olberding of Minster, Ohio, Don (Dorothy) Krieg of Wapakoneta, Ohio, Larry (Sue) Krieg of Greencastle, Marlene (John) Long of St. Mary's and Marvin Krieg of New Bremen.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his brother Robert Wilson, his sister Sally Fischer, two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen with Rev. Becky Erb Strang officiating.

Calling hours will be 3-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16 at the funeral home.
