Cloverdale choirs take part in choral festival

The Cloverdale Mixed Choir and the Cloverdale Women's Ensemble recently participated in the Southwestern Indiana Choral Festival.

The festival was held this year at North Daviess High School and was directed by Dr. Madlen Batchvarova, who currently serves as Associate Professor of Music, Director of Choral Programs at Hanover College.

Choirs represented were from Barr-Reeve, Bloomfield, Eastern Greene, Linton, Loogootee, North Central, North Daviess, North Knox, Shakamak, Shoals, Sullivan, and White River Valley as well as Cloverdale.

Students arrived early in the morning at attended rehearsals throughout the day culminating in a mass choir performance that evening.

The program included "Honor and Glory" by J.S. Bach, "Ige Herouvimy" by Bortniansky, "When You Believe" by Schwartz, "The Prayer" by Bayer Sager, "Go Down Moses" arranged by Hayes and "The Awakening" by Martin.
