Friday, November 16, 2012

Northern Putnam County Junior Girl Scouts in Troop 2278 are conducting a community service project, collecting teddy bears for local police to provide to youngsters in crisis situations.

The troop is setting up collection boxes at Tzouanakis Intermediate School for those families to donate.

The troop, which is composed of fifth-grade girls from Tzouanakis, also will be setting up outside of Wal-Mart on Saturday, Nov. 24 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to collect the bears.

Anyone with questions about the project may call Tracy Agnew at 720-1420 or Alisha McCollough at 317-439-6372.
